Racial Summaries

• Human - Humans of The Empire are all seeded races, that is to say that Humans evolved elsewhere and have been transplanted to planets that are now within The Empire. Humans are the single most common lifeform. More Details.
• Darid - Darid are basically Humans who have been genetically altered. They are excellent warriors, strong, quick, and highly adaptable. Skin, eye, and hair color extends the same range as for Humans but tends toward darker shades. They can see into the near infrared and have some limited ability to bend light making them effectively invisible (similar to the Predator cloak from the movies). More details.
• Sussarian - Sussarians are a reptilian race. They are a native race though there is some speculation of some external influences on their evolution. They are large and strong but slow. They are amphibian at home equally on land or in water. They are predominately gray though some green and brown colorations have been seen. Eye color tends toward dark browns and greens. They are hairless. More details.
• Tyconians - Tyconians are a humanoid race that evolved on a small, arid planet. The lower gravity and thinner atmosphere causes them to be somewhat weaker than Humans and to have slightly larger chests to compensate for the thin air. They are tall and slender with gracefully pointed ears. They are the founders of the Tyconian Empire. More details.
• Neo-Humans - Neo-Humans (or Neos) are essentially mutant (or evolved) Humans. They have an enhanced psionic ability and frequently enhanced physical abilities as well. Their psionic power is accessed through thin, hairlike tendrils coming from their scalp. Neos are feared and hated (perhaps envied as well), as a result, they are hunted as if they were some kind of monsters by most people. They tend to be very reclusive and distrustful as a result. • Kisha - Kisha are essentially winged Humans. It is clear from a close study of their genetics, that, like the Darid, they were created by the Elders from Human stock. Unlike the Darid, the Kisha seem to have no clear purpose. A number of cultures have references to Angels or winged Humans leading to speculation that the Kisha were used by the Elders to interact with and manipulate primitive cultures. They are very attractive and graceful making them popular as entertainers. More details.
• The Elders - This is the most common name of the ancient race believed to be responsible for the seeding of Human, the creation of the Darid, and the evolutionary manipulation of the Sussarians. Though there are many references in ancient cultures to the Elders, no ruins nor technology from their time has been found. This bit of information on the Elders is included for completeness given the significant impact they have had on the area.
